Here’s a great treat.  Remember my big obsession, Joey Oglesby?  Well, he’s currently with a comedy group called Level One Comedy.  They just released this off-kilter comedy short about April Fool’s Day.  And it’s really, really good.

youhavechosenfatally from Tumblr posted what I called “DAHBESTGIFEVAH” of a lumberjack bear being energized by a vitamin tablet called “Berocca.”  And this is no hyperbole.  I can watch this for hours.

And here is the awesome commercial with this supersexycutehandsome logging bear dancing his heart out on top of a floating log!  Mad skillz, bearby!

BOOM! POW! BOOM! That’s pretty much the only way I could verbalize my instant thoughts when I first saw this Australian weightlifter.  His name is Damon Kelly and when I quickly did some thorough research (lol), I noticed that for a weightlifter, he’s quite stylish, to the point that I might even call him a “hipster” (or “bipster” for “bear hipster”).  Let me lay out the evidence, and you be the judge…

But before we do so, let’s get to know this massive man’s skills in weightlifting.  Here is a video of him from the Commonwealth Games last year:

Here’s an old-school Shirtless Saturday post.   Phil Hickerson is a wrestler I discovered a few years ago thanks to the classic pro-wrestling matches shown on ESPN.  I missed out on his younger and furrier persona, so I just knew him as his villainous Japanese counterpart, PY Chu Hi.

I just discovered him when I made this collage, so I misspelled his name. This was before Google, you dangnammit young whippersnappers!!!!!

He’s definitely sporting that chubby daddy look.  Since I wasn’t aware about his previous work, I was completely surprised at how agile he was for his age.  He also got beat up in the worst way possible.  He’s continually enduring gut punches and groin kicks, and despite my fetish, I actually feel bad seeing such a handsome daddy bear get punished that way.    (Though I will probably one day post a compilation of his beatdowns, lol.)  As perfect timing would have it, here is a recent upload of a PY Chu Hi match where he got some pretty good beatings.  You can see how well he sells the “stunned look” after every hit on him.  As a bonus, there are 2 bonus big bears in it: Eric Embry and Gary Young.

Here’s a video of him talking about how he’s getting no respect.  He’s completely selling his act flawlessly.  It’s just so natural and ironically full of honest emotions.

Here are a few of his previous wrestling personas.  Even with the small photos, you can tell that his forehead wasn’t damaged yet from his later use of “blading” it.  I’m still amazed how these wrestlers would go to great lengths to sell their performance — even if it means spilling their blood for others’ entertainment.  But who am I to judge?  What’s the difference with my enjoyment of seeing PY Chu Hi get punched on the gut or seeing his forehead bleed?  I guess it’s just that gray area when it comes to live performances…

Wow, this is pretty awesome.  I just stumbled upon a new webseries called AIDAN 5.  What intrigued me was its premise (a detective trying to solve the murders of his clones) and its mashup of genres: pulp fiction, science-fiction, and film noir.  I’m sold!  And when I watched the trailer and its first episode, I quickly counted 4 woofy guys.  BONUS!  The protagonist may not be as husky as I would prefer, but he has a handsome face that reminds me of Drew Powell and Vincent D’Onofrio (whom I have criminally not posted about, though I once mentioned his similarity with Drew).

Pretty nifty, yes?  The whole world appeals to my Blade Runner fetish, Sin City obsession, and many noirish video games I’ve played in the past.  It’s just amazing to see how they could pull off using hand-drawn animation as their actual backdrop and set props!

My good buddy, GE, informed me about this Atom.com‘s exclusive comedy webseries called Video Game Reunion.  Here’s the official site’s synopsis:

Desperate to reboot their failed careers, the once-great video game heroes of the 1980s are coming back together… for a reunion. Go behind the scenes into the sordid lives of Mario, Mega Man, and their gang of 8-bit misfits in a live-action parody that answers the question, ‘Where are they now?’

I checked out the trailer, and I was very amused.  I will definitely be checking it out, starting on March 8, 2011.

More importantly, I highly approve of the casting of Britain Spellings as Mario…

It appears that this reunion will have some pool scenes.  Hmm…  I sure hope that the writers made sure that Britain Spellings Mario ends up taking that red Hawaiian shirt off.

Commercials are, more or less, fairly effective.  They are visual invasions and auditory assaults to the senses which can do their manipulative job in less than 30 seconds.  When I first saw the “Sword” Trident Layers Gum commercial, the ad did its spectacular magic on me as the cute cub in it caught my attention in less than 3 seconds.

The above screenshot was the aforementioned 3-second mark.  My mind immediately processed: chubby cheeks, husky build, beard, thick arms, moobs, peekaboo chest, and slight belly.  At that point, I ended up being curious as to what the ad was selling.  Whether I like it or not, I was definitely interested in the “product” that was about to be sold.

This final screenshot  is what we bear/chub admirers would call “The Bonus Shot.”  Sure he’s not shirtless, but the curvaceous build on this cub is undeniably gorgeous.

Former WWE superstar, Shad Gaspard, just got an audition with Brett Ratner’s upcoming superhero movie, “Youngblood” via Twitter [Comic Book Movie].  I’ve never heard of “Youngblood” though I’m somewhat familiar with Chapel’s character from “Spawn.”  Body-wise, Shad definitely possesses the brawny muscles for the role.

Not much to add except here are more photos of the musclebeast, Shad Gaspard.

Currently, he appears to have slimmed down and developed noticeable abs.  As much as I prefer the old look where his abs were hidden by his thick belly, I can’t deny that these are just awesome photo shots.

Sometimes, there’s a photo or even animated gif that doesn’t need explaining.  Someone posted this from Tumblr and I’m pretty sure that this is from “No Ordinary Family”…
