Shad Gaspard’s Twitter Fantasy Turned Reality: Auditioning For Chapel In “Youngblood”

February 25, 2011 2 comments

Former WWE superstar, Shad Gaspard, just got an audition with Brett Ratner’s upcoming superhero movie, “Youngblood” via Twitter [Comic Book Movie].  I’ve never heard of “Youngblood” though I’m somewhat familiar with Chapel’s character from “Spawn.”  Body-wise, Shad definitely possesses the brawny muscles for the role. [KEEP ON WOOFIN’!]

Robert Kirkman: Woofy Comic Book Writer

October 20, 2010 12 comments

Robert Kirkman is drop dead gorgeous.  Before I had an inkling of what a “bear” was (specifically from the LGBTQ community), all I knew was that I was attracted towards husky and fuzzy men.  And, yes, basically, Robert Kirkman pretty much fits the perfect archetypal model of such a bearish man.  Well, at least, in my personal preference and opinion, of course…

Anyway, the series premiere of his fantastic graphic novel “The Walking Dead” will finally be on AMC on Halloween Day and I am eagerly excited for it.  Here are two videos of him from an AMC Special where he talks about the evolution of his graphic novel to the small screen as well as him giving us a tour from the series’ film set…

BearComicSlashFic (aka When A Blogger Ran Out Of Ideas)

December 22, 2008 1 comment

I’m a big fan of bizarre and offbeat humor.  My favorite is/was The Perry Bible Fellowship (unfortunately the website’s gone now); however, a suitable replacement is the clever Married To The Sea and Superpoop which are created by a married couple, Drew and Natalie Dee.

One of my secret dreams is to be a cartoonist.  Unfortunately, I can’t even draw a straight line.  In the meantime, let’s do a little bit of metahumor by combining some Married To The Sea/Superpoop comics/photos with my collection of bearish/chubby screenshots/photos.  Did you get a headache/rolly-eyes yet with all of that forward slashes?  I hope you did and I’m calling this type of subgenre of BearFic as a BearComicSlashFic.  -_^

Like I said, I have a “very different” type of humor.  As I was inspired by Drew and Natalie Dee’s creations, here’s my attempt…  Please be nice.  😛

estigmas

This is fantastic news indeed.  Shot putter, Manuel Martinez (official site), is currently involved in the final week of filming for the comic book adaptation of Lorenzo Mattotti’s Estigmas (original site here; official site).  The film is directed by Adan Aliaga Vallencia (original site here).

We will finally get to see this massive bear of a man in his film debut (does his 3-second television appearance in Cachorro [Bear Cub] count?).  The film is scheduled to be released in either January or February of 2009.

I am very intrigued with the premise of Estigmas.  Here’s a brief (and somewhat poor) translated description:

The crab-producing films has decided to make a radical bid to Europe with the comic adaptation of the audacious, brilliant, and critically-acclaimed “Stigma” by Lorenzo Mattotti (drawing) and Claudio Piersanti (dash).  “Stigma” is the story of the loneliness of a man marked by a tragic fate, the emergence of some sores on his hands that he represents God and that it enclosed in a world of madness.

I definitely can’t wait to see this.  In the meantime, here are some more photos of the superbly woofy, Manuel Martinez…

Ray Winstone: “Jerusalem” (William Blake Biopic In Limbo)

Ah, Ray Winstone (and, yup, still my “Number One Bear”).  I’ve been following the news of him playing the role of poet William Blake since 2004.  It appears that he won’t be starring in it (if it ever gets produced) as he stated, “I’m getting a bit old to play it now.”

What a shame.  I’ve been eagerly checking out that news, since William Blake’s works were forcefully fed to me by my woofy college professor.  If it wasn’t for my professor, I would have discounted Blake’s works (I originally found them to be simple and devoid of meaning).  Perhaps my views changed because my woofy professor loved Blake?  I’m not sure.  What I do know is that he made me realize that one of Blake’s works was a masterpiece: “Songs of Innocence and Experience.”

And for some reason, when I was reading Bearotic‘s post about the twisted, demented, and very sick online comic strip, The Other Family (a completely whacked out version of Bill Keane’s Family Circus), I can’t help but think of William Blake’s “Songs of Innocence and Experience.”

I’ve divided the comic strips into three parts.  So if there’s anybody out there who’s doing a report on William Blake’s “Songs of Innocence and Experience,” just read through these modern comics and you’ll get the main gist of Blake’s ideas…

The Birth Of Innocence and Ignorance

The Death Of Innocence and Birth Of Experience

Songs Of Innocence and Experience

Yes, in spite of and because of the comic strip’s absurdity, it actually perfectly portrays the juxtaposition of the innocent, pastoral world of childhood against an adult world of corruption and repression (thank you, Spark Notes!).  I wish this comic strip was around back then so that I could have gotten an A+.  ^_^

“Watchmen” Trailer: Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The Comedian. Perfection.

July 20, 2008 5 comments

I’m somewhat embarrassed since I’m filtering in some traffic for those people (i.e., straight-folk and even gays who don’t like bears) who are doing Google searches on “Jeffrey Dean Morgan The Comedian.” Unfortunately, some of them end up being horrified and violated at my gay attractions towards the actor who plays The Comedian from my original Watchmen post.

Be that as it may, the Watchmen trailer has arrived in glorious Quicktime, and the short glimpses that we see of The Comedian is already proving that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is definitely perfect for the role who also happens to be seriously exuding such badassery that even these gay haters will have to feel some sort of homo-attraction towards him.  Must I add an apologetic “lolz”?  Um, no.

Freaking A.  Just perfect.

Big “Thank You!” to Sam for sharing this in Brotherhood of Bears.
Sam is the owner of the amazing SDW Media.

Let’s see: Woofy bald musclebear.  Bondage.  Wearing just briefs.  Mythic anthropomorphic artistic bad bunnies painting on musclebear’s “eggs.”

Wow.  Now that’s an Easter celebration I could boogie down with…  And to continue my SubBearSive Happy Easter greetings, here are some more egg hunting festivities…  😉
